Kuwait and Iraq Form Team to Address Bilateral Issues

Kuwait and Iraq have taken a significant step towards resolving long-standing bilateral issues by forming a joint working team. This agreement was reached during a meeting between Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah and Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al Zaidi on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The newly established team is tasked with reviewing the outstanding issues between the two nations and developing a roadmap for their resolution. The team is expected to submit its recommendations to the leadership of both countries within 30 days. Meetings will be held alternately in Kuwait and Baghdad, and the team will continue its work until its mandate is completed.

Both Kuwait and Iraq have expressed their support for this initiative, emphasizing their commitment to resolving these issues and enhancing cooperation and partnership. This development underscores the ongoing efforts by both nations to strengthen their diplomatic and economic ties.
