The gathering, part of a four-country consultation mechanism, included Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
The officials evaluated recent developments in the Middle East, focusing on efforts to mitigate regional tensions and promote diplomatic engagement following a memorandum of understanding between Washington and Tehran. The ministers also examined the security situation in Lebanon, underlining the necessity for continued cooperation to avert further instability.
In a joint statement, the four countries expressed their full support for the US-Iran negotiation process. After the meeting, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with the participating ministers, applauding the strengthened coordination among the four nations. He highlighted Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, and Türkiye as pivotal players in regional security and stressed the importance of supporting the implementation of the US-Iran agreement to ensure the success of the negotiation process.
