Oman and Rwanda have advanced their diplomatic and economic ties by signing two agreements and six memoranda of understanding (MoUs) during the official visit of Rwandan President Paul Kagame to Salalah, Oman. A significant move in this collaboration is the mutual visa exemption for holders of diplomatic, service, and special passports, facilitating smoother diplomatic engagements. Additionally, the two nations have entered an agreement aimed at eliminating double taxation, which is expected to foster economic exchanges and boost bilateral trade.
The MoUs span a wide array of sectors pivotal for both countries’ development. Key areas include agriculture, logistics, land and dry-port development, supply chain services, investment promotion, and labor cooperation.
